Welcome to the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.  Come on in and look through our site.  We will tell you about our region, our members and our businesses.  If you have any questions or need more information we have provided you ways to contact us. We are a growing chamber with 200 members and enjoy being active. We welcome new businesses and work hard to continue supporting our established businesses. 

Our area has lots to do.  You can shop, hike, canoe, kayak, enjoy a movie, eat ice cream and relax with a great cup of coffee.  Want to take your boat out, or take a day cruise we can help you arrange that.  In the winter you can snow shoe, cross country ski and use the snowmobile trails. Reading is important in Maine and our bookstore is first class.  Just don’t sit on the cats chair!  We have great places to stay and relaxed dining.

The Bucksport Bay Festival, Orland River Day, The Pumpkin Fest in Blue Hill, Searsport’s Fling into Fall, Spirit of the Holidays, Ghostport, The Pirates are Coming are all events to enjoy this year.

There are many opportunities to volunteer and clubs to join.  So enjoy your tour of our site and come visit us at 52 Main Street, Bucksport, Maine.

I'd like to extend a warm thank you to Todd Hanson for hosting the first Business After Hours of the New Year on January 19th. Along with great refreshment and lively conversation, everyone got a chance to tour Knoxview Apartments. You would not believe what a gorgeous view they have, especially from the upper floors.

Our next Chamber Breakfast will be held Wednesday, February 22, 7:30 AM at the Orland Methodist Church, 24 Narramissic Dr, Orland. Orland Market is catering the event. Orland Selectmen and officials will speak during the breakfast to Chamber members and guests. You do not have to be a member to attend. Please submit in advance any questions that you'd like them to discuss. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. We do ask that you RSVP to alecia@bucksportbaychamber.com or call 469-6818.

Can you believe it's that time of year again? Yes, membership renewal cards are going out in the mail. Look for yours to arrive soon. Not only does the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce membership contribute to the vitality of the business community as a whole, it can also contribute to the success of your individual business offering promotional and networking opportunities. Some benefits of membership include getting connected with other business people in the area, receiving business referrals, having a political voice on business issues, and promoting your business online through the Chamber's Website, Twitter, and Facebook pages. The Chamber can also help with grand openings, ribbon cuttings & other celebrations. This year, we hope you make your membership count for you. Our Annual Awards and Dinner Meeting will be held on March 14, 2012. We are proud to announce that this year's Guest Speaker is Congressman Mike Michaud. Please join us for an evening of good food and good people. Your family, friends, and business associates are also welcome to attend.
