Alamo Theater & Northeast Historic Film
Located on Main Street in Bucksport, N.H.F., is a nationally recognized film archive of historic New England footage. The Alamo houses a museum exhibit, a 120-seat theater, offices, technical services, and storage. Buck Cemetery and The Foot

| Many visitors to Bucksport, Maine have seen the gravestone of the town's founder, Jonathan Buck (1719-1795), on which there is a fault shaped like a human foot. A legend has developed which attempts to explain the presence of the fault, supposedly caused the curse of a witch condemned to death by Buck. Located on Main Street in Bucksport (across the street from the Shop ‘N Save, at the intersection of Rt. 1 and Rt. 15). View the famous tombstone with ample parking provided. Buck Memorial Library - This unique architectural structure is located on Main Street in Bucksport, Maine. Built in 1887 at an approximate cost of $20,000.00, the library was provided by Richard Pike Buck, grandson of Colonel Jonathan Buck, founder of Bucksport.
Hours: Open - Mon through Fri - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sat 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Story Hour - Wed 10:30 am and Sat 10:00 am. |

| Hike Great Pond Mountain - From the Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery, drive through the parking lot and bear right on the trail 0.9 miles. From the hatchery is the Mt. trailhead. Fort Knox is located on the west bank of the Penobscot River in Prospect, Maine, in an area known as the Penobscot Narrows, Fort Knox is one of the best preserved fortifications on the New England seacoast. The Fort has many architectural features present only to itself, as well as a rich history behind it's cannon batteries.
The newly constructed Penobscot Narrows Bridge boasts an observation tower, rising 420’ above sea level, which may only be accessed through the Fort. Set to open this spring the observation tower will provide a breathtaking view of the Penobscot River Valley, and is the only observatory like it in the Western Hemisphere!

Located about three miles off U.S. Route 1 in Stockton Springs, and named for the point of which Gov. Thomas Pownall established Fort Pownall in 1759, Fort Point State Park occupies a long peninsula with panoramic views of the Penobscot River and Penobscot Bay. On its 120 acres, the park features more than a mile of rocky shore, a tidal sandbar, and diverse habitat for a variety of plants and animals.
